Gamepad Testing FAQ
1. Why can't my controller be detected?
Please ensure your controller is properly connected to the computer. For wireless controllers, Bluetooth pairing is required. For some controllers, you may need to press any button to activate detection. If still not detected, try reconnecting the USB cable or use the latest version of Chrome browser.
2. What if some buttons don't respond?
If specific buttons don't respond during testing, there may be hardware issues. Check if buttons are stuck or try gently cleaning around them. If the problem persists, professional repair may be needed.
3. Is stick drift normal?
Minor stick drift may be normal, but if it significantly affects gameplay, the stick may need calibration or replacement. Try calibrating the controller in Control Panel or using manufacturer-provided calibration tools.
4. What types of controllers are supported?
This tool supports all standard Gamepad API compatible controllers including Xbox One/Series controllers, PlayStation 4/5 DualShock/DualSense controllers, Nintendo Switch Pro controllers and most third-party compatible controllers.
