Microphone Test FAQ

1. Why can't I access the microphone?

Browsers require explicit user authorization to access the microphone. Make sure to click "Allow" when the browser permission request appears. If you previously denied access, click the lock icon on the left side of the address bar to reset permissions. We recommend using modern browsers like Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.

2. Microphone has no sound or very low volume?

Please check system volume settings and microphone volume levels. In Windows, you can right-click the volume icon in the taskbar and select "Recording devices" to adjust microphone volume and enhancement settings. Also ensure the microphone is not muted and the correct input device is selected.

3. Microphone has noise or echo?

Noise may come from environmental sounds, electromagnetic interference, or microphone quality issues. We recommend testing in a quiet environment, checking if microphone connections are secure, and staying away from electronic interference sources. Echo is usually caused by speaker volume being too high; consider using headphones or reducing speaker volume.

4. How to test multiple microphones?

If your computer has multiple microphones connected (such as built-in microphone and external USB microphone), all available devices will be displayed in the device list. Click on different devices to switch test targets. We recommend testing each microphone's recording quality individually.

5. What to do about high microphone latency?

High latency may affect real-time communication experience. We recommend using wired microphones instead of Bluetooth devices, disabling unnecessary audio processing effects, updating audio drivers, and ensuring sufficient system performance. Professional audio interfaces typically provide lower latency.

6. How to save recording test results?

You can use the "Start Recording" function to record a test audio clip, then play it back to check recording quality. The recording file is temporarily saved in the browser and can be played back using the play button. For long-term storage, we recommend using professional recording software.
